On 31-Aug-06, Morristown Police Chief Roger Overholt was invited to speak to the students of the Karate 5 Morristown Dojo. Chief Overholt, a longtime Black belt holder in Seibukan Shorin-Ryu, shared many insights as to how the martial arts has been instrumental in his personal development. He told how he went from being a kid with no academic aspirations to a man with 2 college degrees and numerous law enforcement seminars and specialized training, including the F.B.I. course at Quantico, VA. The students particularly enjoyed the question and answer period that followed the presentation.
